Serial Cat Killer Jailed

18 Months Jail For 9 Counts Of Cat Torture - 22nd September 2016

This is only the 4th case of criminal sentencing for animal abuse since the “Prevention of Animal Cruelty” Act was passed in 2014.
This taxi-motorcyclist Mr. Panuwat Singkhaok killed at least 9 cats and has now been convicted by the North Bangkok District criminal Court. The Judge gave the defendant 9 counts of imprisonment for 2 months each, totalling the defendant's imprisonment to 18 months.
During the investigations by Watchdog Thailand an extra 20 cats were found dead in a rubbish bin at his apartment! Mr Panuwat would acquire the cats from social media page posts that were rehoming cats & dogs and it was only because a previous owner inquired about how her cats were settling in became suspicious and asked for the help of WDT to investigate! This is how he preyed on people's good will to acquire so many cats to kill!
