CRUELTY OF A PUPPY FARM IN THAILAND

Combined Rescue :
Watchdog Thailand, Elephant Nature Park “ ENP” & “SOS” THAILAND

Early this morning, TARA members went to one of the dog kennels in Mae Sai district, Chiang Rai province, together with local livestock officials, after receiving complaints from locals about animal welfare and to help bring dogs out of this hellish breeding farm.
It was first known that there were about 70 dogs & cats in total. But upon arrival, the crew found the animals cramped in tiny cages contaminated with faeces!
Some of them were trapped in narrow cages infested with parasites! These are the answers to animal cruelty and lack of animal welfare. Each and every day, the lives of these breeders are nothing different from a living hell!
The rescue team is trying to get them all out, but the kennel owner is refusing, saying they can only take some of the dogs out, but the rest will be kept for breeding!
These are some of the dog's condition that the owner doesn't want to hand them over. Now, through SOS Animal Thailand & WDT group, they will cooperate with the district animal officials to remove all the animals. The 42 dogs that were removed will be taken to the Elephant Conservation and Environment Foundation, (ENP) Chiang Mai province, to be rehabilitated and to heal both physical and mentally

The sickening photos were taken by Watchdog Thailand at puppy farms in the Bang Bua Thong district and the city of Chiang Mai.
The images show pooches in tiny wire cages, while others are painfully skinny and appear to have been starved.
Pups from the farms are then sold at markets in Thailand.

Pictures of a cute puppy is tempting many people to buy them and the demand is tempting enough to make some humans choose to earn a living from this!
A puppy breeding farm with NO animal welfare, NO inspections, NO Rules. …. They have spread all over Thailand!
The fate is a living hell for both these breeding dogs and will continue as long as animal welfare laws are NOT enforced and as long as people continue to buy dogs & cats from pet stores regardless of the source.
It’s a false impression. Unscrupulous puppy vendors know that pups that react in this way are more appealing, and therefore more likely to be bought.
"So they give the puppies no food or water.
"The 'happy' puppies are desperately thirsty. The 'sad' ones are simply exhausted."
Many of the dogs are “fashionable” breeds such as Pomeranians.
"They are kept in cramped cages and, as you can see, bowls are upturned and not refilled, meaning they can go for hours without water in humid conditions.
"A lot of the puppies you see in the clips are lethargic and sad looking.
“If you go up to the cages, the puppies either come straight to you as if you are their best friend ever, or they lie there, looking sad.

Undercover footage obtained by the Mirror shows puppies being sold at a market on the island of Phuket.
Sam McElroy, campaign manager at the animal charity Soi Dog Foundation, said the animals come from “despicable” puppy farms.
He said: “There is no kennel club in Thailand. There is no reputable breeder scheme. They came from puppy mills.
"And these places are completely unregulated and the conditions vary from poor to despicable."
Mr McElroy added the pups at the market are not given food or water in a cruel bid to make them approach potential buyers.
He said: "The undercover clips show a variety of puppies for sale, some older than others.
